Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif extends Pakistan Cricket Board interim committee by 90 days
LAHORE: PM Nawaz Sharif has given a 90-day extension to the interim management committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board.
PM Nawaz Sharif dismissed the previous governing board in October in a dispute over elections.
The PCB says in a statement that Sharif has extended the interim committee “with effect from January 12″ and that Najam Sethi has been re-elected chairman.
Previous chairman Zaka Ashraf was suspended last year after the validity of his election was challenged in Islamabad High Court.
Sethi´s powers were also restricted by another court against which the PCB has filed an appeal, but is still waiting for the decision.
