Miss Colombia Paulina Vega Selected as Miss Universe 63rd Annual 2015 in Miami , Florida on 25th January 2015.
Miss Universe 63rd Annual 2015 is organized in Miami, Florida on Sunday 25th January 2015 in which Miss Colombia Paulina Vega is selected after beating out 87 other contestants from around the world. 
Paulina Vega is granddaughter of tenor Gaston Vega who studies business administration at the university Javeriana in Bogota.
Paulina Vega prevailed over first runner-up, Miss USA Nia Sanchez, 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do from Las Vegas, Nevada who won the US title in June.
Contestants from the Netherlands, Jamaica and Ukraine rounded out the five finalists at the 63rd annual pageant which was broadcast on NBC from Florida International University in Miami.
Vega is the 4th Lady of South America who wins the pageant in the past seven years, with contestants from Venezuela carrying the title last year as well as in 2007 and 2008.
Miss Colombia Paulina Vega has been crowned Miss Universe after beating out first runner-up Miss USA Nia Sanchez and contestants from more than 80 other countries at Sunday’s pageant in Miami.
She would wear the crown with “pride and excitement” as she heard the news that fans in Colombia had taken to the streets to celebrate.
“It felt like home. I felt like I was in Colombia with my people. I felt that support in every moment of the pageant,” she said, wearing a sparkling silver gown with vertical stripes at a press conference after the competition
