Indian Deputy High Commissioner summoned to Foreign Office
Foreign Office stressed on the need to ensure the security of Pakistani diplomatic staff in India.
Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Pakistan was summoned to the Foreign Office on Wednesday after supporters of the Congress Party’s Youth Wing attacked the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi.
During his meeting at the Foreign Office‚ the Indian Deputy High Commissioner was told that the security of the Pakistani High Commission and Pakistan House was responsibility of the Indian government.
The Foreign Office also stressed on the need to ensure the security of Pakistani diplomatic staff in India.
According to the Foreign Office spokesman‚ protesters gathered outside the Indian High Commission and chanted slogans against Pakistan.
Supporters of the Congress party’s youth wing tried to enter the Pakistani High Commission.
