Punjab budget 2019-20
Punjab finance minister Makhdoom Hashim Jawan Bakht will present annual fiscal budget 2019-20 in Punjab Assembly on 14th June 2019. Finance Department Punjab has recommended 10% rise in salary and pension of government employees in the provincial budget 2019-20.
The finance department sources have revealed that Rs530 billion will be spent on salaries and pensions of government employees for the next fiscal year. Out of the total sum, Rs320 billion will be paid as salaries and Rs210 billion as pensions.
Gazette notification to the effect was issued by the Assembly Secretariat and Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will preside this 10th session of the 17th Assembly. During session, annual Provincial budget for next fiscal year 2019-20 will be presented on 14th of this month at 1500 Hrs.
