Punjab Workers Welfare Board is to provide shelter to the shelter less industrial workers by establishing Labour Colonies across the Punjab.Punjab Workers Welfare Board Required Application for Labour Colony Defence Road Lahore and Labour Colony Multan for Allotment of Flats and  Quarters.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

A worker employed in an industrial establishment

a. Which is paying PESSI contribution for the last three years.
b. Which is contributing to the Education Cess for the last three years.
c. Which is functioning without interruption for a period of three years.
d. Which is situated in the same District where labour colony is located.

He or any member of his / her family is not tenant lessee or owner in any of the housing colony of the Board.
No criminal proceedings are pending against him either in the establishment in which he is employed or in any other forum.
Has three years service at his credit.
Who fulfill the definition of workman given in I.R.O. 2002.
Registered with EOBI / Social Security.

Punjab Workers Welfare Board is a corporate entity established through a notification by the Government of Punjab under the Workers Welfare Fund Ordinance, 1971. It is led by a Board of Directors comprising representatives of the Government, Workers and Employers. The Board provides a holistic package of services to industrial workers, which includes provision of marriage grants, death grants and talent scholarship, establishment and maintenance of Labour Colonies and establishment and operation of Workers Welfare Schools in various districts of Punjab
