MDCAT & ECAT Online Preparation
STEP is Pakistan’s largest Entry Test Preparation Network and it always keeps itself abreast with new learning methodologies. With a purpose to make students prepare for MDCAT and ECAT Preparation in the convenience of their homes with an easy access to quality study materials, E-Learning Program was launched in STEP Seminar in Pakistan. A large number of students and parents attended the ceremony.
MCAT/MDCAT
The MCAT/MDCAT (Medical & Dental College Admission Test) is an exam based on MCQ’s, an essential requirement to be met by pre-medical students in order to seek admission in medical and dental colleges.
Introduction
The MCAT/MDCAT standardized test is designed to assess your command over basic concepts of Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry, English), critical thinking and problem solving skills. MCAT/MDCAT preparatory course trains the mind to make educated guesses and to maximize chances to pick correct answers. Every year UHS (University of Health Sciences) is responsible for organizing the MCAT/MDCAT for all the public sector medical colleges of Punjab.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must have a minimum score of 660/1100 marks in F.sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination (excluding the marks of Hafiz-e-Quran).
Candidates having qualification equivalent to intermediate (Pre-Medical) are eligible to apply for admission. The equivalence of qualification is determined by Inter Board Committee of Chairman, Islamabad(IBCC).
The candidate having domicile of any district of Punjab and Islamabad (ICT) can appear in the Entrance Test of the Punjab.
Students of Gilgit-Baltistan will also appear in the Entrance Test of the Punjab for admission against seats reserved for them in government medical/dental colleges of the Punjab.
In accordance with the regulations of Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, there is no maximum or minimum age limit for appearance in Entrance Test.
ECAT
ECAT(Engineering Colleges Admission Test) is an MCQ’s based exam that is a compulsory option to be taken by candidates who want to take admission in Engineering Universities. Our course pack is devised to harness critical and analytical skills to ace the exam. Every year UET (University of Engineering & Technology) organizes the ECAT exam for all public sector institutes of Punjab.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
For F.Sc
FSC (Pre-Engineering) with a combination of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education of Pakistan or an equivalent examination recognized by the university.
Intermediate with a combination for Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science shall only be acceptable for Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, City & Regional Planning, Architecture and Product& Industrial Design.
Intermediate with a combination of Physics, Mathematics and Statistics shall only be acceptable for Computer Sciences, City & Regional Planning, Architecture and Product & Industrial Design.
The candidate must have a score of at least 60% marks in F.Sc/ ICS / DAE / B.Sc / B.Tech (excluding NCC, Sports and Hafiz-e-Quran). He should have to give the university Entry-test for the particular academic year.
For Diploma Holders
Seats are reserved for the diploma holders who have qualified their diploma examination. Only then they can apply for their relevant fields.
