PRIME MINISTER’S YOUTH TRAINING SCHEME PHASE-II

Prime Minister’s Youth Program is a revolutionary program for the socio-economic development of youth, in a bid to combat soaring unemployment in the country. It has a broad canvas of schemes aimed at enabling youth and poor segments of population to: Get good employment, opportunities, Secure economic empowerment, Acquire skills needed for gainful employment, Have access to higher education and IT tools, Access to on-the-job training/internship for young graduates to improve the probability of getting a productive job.

Under this scheme, young individuals with 16 years of education from recognized institutions will be provided on-the-job- training/internships at private and public sector offices.
Eligibility criteria:
Graduates with minimum 16 years of education from HEC approved educational institutions and of age not more than 25 years.

Applicants of Prime Minister’s Youth Training Scheme can contact to their respective universities focal persons for verification purpose.

Stipend

Rs.12,000 per month for 12 months

Training Programme

Focal points in each private and public office will be responsible for ensuring effective use of the internees’ services

Areas of Training

All leading private sector firms/bodies and development sector organizations, federal, provincial and local government offices including educational institutions will be offered services of the internees

Allocation of Interns

Primarily, the allocation of interns will be made in accordance with the NFC award and FPSC’s recruitment criteria for provincial/regional quotas for all three years. The selection of Interns will be as per their domicile but can be placed in originations outside of their domicile region based on the demand profile and matching of applicant profile.
