Cadet College Hasanabdal has open Class VIII / ‘O’ Level Admission 2017. Admission to this College is done only once in a year in Class VIII/GCE ‘O’ Level.
Admission to Class VIII / ‘O’ Level for 2017:
THE LAST DATE TO RECEIVE ADMISSION FORMS AT THE COLLEGE IS 14TH OCT, 2016.
THE WRITTEN TEST WILL BE HELD ON 13TH NOV, 2016.
ELIGIBILITY:
Eligibility criteria for admission are as under:
Age: The candidate must not be over 14 and under 12 years of age on 1st April of the year of Entry i.e. on 1st April 2017 this time. No relaxation of age, even a single day, is permissible.
Educational Standard: The candidate must have passed Class-7 or equivalent by 1st April of the year of Entry. Those studying currently in Class VII can also apply.
COURSES OFFERED
- Matriculation : Science Group (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology/Computer, Urdu, English, Islamiat and Pak-Studies, affiliated with Rawalpindi Board)
- GCE ‘O’ Level : Science Group (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Urdu, English, Islamiat and Pak-Studies, affiliated with Cambridge University)
WRITTEN TEST
An open competitive examination comprising three papers (1.Mathematics cum Intelligence Test, 2.English cum General Awareness and 3.Urdu cum Islamiat) is held in the month of November every year. Urdu-Islamiyat Part of the Paper is compulsory, and no alternative subject is allowed. The candidates from overseas countries must qualify in this part also. However, the non-Muslim candidates may leave out the Islamiyat part of the Paper. Islamiyat paper may be attempted in English as well.
Syllabus For Class VIII & O-Level:
The Syllabus For Class VIII & O-Level is available on our website and also printed in the College Prospectus at Appendix ‘A’. The Entrance Test for the College is a competitive examination. The syllabus is meant for the general guidance of the candidates and any question considered suitable can be set in any Paper in any form.
Cadet College Hasanabdal Entrance Exam is held at these centers:
Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Sharjah (U.A.E.), Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Karachi, Quetta. In case it is not feasible to hold exam and interview at any of the above mentioned centers, the candidates are asked to appear at another centre.
INTERVIEWS AND MEDICAL EXAMINATION
The candidates who qualify in the Written Examination are required to appear for Interview and Medical Examination at the centres mentioned above after the announcement of result. Candidates at Riyadh and Sharjah Centres are interviewed on the next day after the written test. Their medical examination is done at the College before joining. Only those candidates who are found medically fit are considered for the admission. Places are offered on the results of the tests/interview in the order of merit. The results are strictly confidential, and no correspondence is entertained in this connection. Successful candidates join the college in last week of April/First week of May.

College Prospectus contains the Application Forms and detailed information about this institution. It can be obtained from the College Admission Office by hand on cash payment of Rs.800/- or by post within the country for Rs.1058/- through Habib Bank Limited, Challan Form For Prospectus available here on our college site.
It can be obtained by post outside the country for Rs.1500/- through a bank draft drawn on Habib Bank Hasan Abdal, in favour of Principal, Cadet College, Hasan Abdal. Cheques will not be acceptable. For prospectus by post, the candidate must send his Name, Father Name, Telephone/Mobile Number, Postal Address and Class for which Admission is sought, with the Copy of Challan Form deposited in Habib Bank Limited.
To save the time, the easiest way to complete the process of submission of forms and getting prospectus is to download the Admission Form (including Address Slips and Challan Form) from the College website during given dates.
The downloaded form will have to be submitted along with a fee of Rs. 2558/-(includes registration fee and cost of prospectus) through Habib Bank Challan form (available along with the downloaded Admission Form) and deposited in any branch of Habib Bank Limited. (Pak Rs. 3000/- for those living abroad in form of bank draft in favour of Principal, Cadet College Hasan Abdal). Application form Complete in all respect and copy of challan form (deposited) is to be sent to the address: Principal Cadet College Hasan Abdal. Prospectus will be sent on the postal address given in the form.
An Additional Fee of Saudi Riyal 600/- or UAE Dirham 600/- will be charged from the candidates (Class VIII/O-levels only) applying from Saudi Arabia and UAE respectively, on the day of entry test at the centre.
