NEPRA approves power tariff reduction by Rs 0.31 

ISLAMABAD: National Electric Power Regularity Authority (NEPRA) has approved Rs 0.31 reduction in the power tariff; reduction has been made in regard of monthly fuel adjustment for the month of August.

Details said, On Tuesday a public hearing was held in NEPRA on the plea of National Power Purchasing Agency in which price of total power produced in the month of August was compared.

By comparison it was revealed that 40 % power was produced by hydral power project, which cost nothing, on this NEPRA approved Rs 0.31 reductions in the power tariff, which will be implemented in the utility bills of next month
