Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar Punjab governor resigns today
Lahore: Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar Punjab governor resigned today on Thursday 29th January 2015.He has announced his resignation at a news conference in Lahore.He also stated he was unable to accomplish what he had set out to do.
Sarwar is former British politician and wealthy businessman.Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Selected as governor in August 2013.
President of Pakistan Mamnoon Hussain accepted his resignation and Federal Government of Pakistan selected Rana Iqbal as acting governor in Punjab.
“I want to witness a democracy where a common man’s son can get the same opportunities and rights as the elite in this country,” Sarwar said.
He told that he has resigned of his own will and not under any force.
